SEATTLE — For the first time since 1965, Seattle Opera presents Camille Saint-Saëns’ Samson and Delilah (1877), an evocative retelling of the biblical tale of obsession, lust, and revenge. The opera will have two performances at McCaw Hall - Jan. 20 at 7:30 p.m. and Jan. 22 at 2 p.m. Tickets start at $35.
The two performances will be presented in a new format with on-stage orchestra and chorus, and features some of classical music’s most iconic melodies, including “Mon cœur s’ouvre à ta voix” and “Act III Bacchanale.”
