Holmes is growing its Seattle team with three new members; Elisa Chen, Evan Speer, and Dan Bech. Chen, senior structural engineer, joins Holmes with a decade of experience in the industry. She brings a wealth of knowledge in new and existing cultural work alongside high-rise design and creative renovations/retrofits.

Speer, structural project engineer, has a fresh take on seismic design informed by his time living in Nepal. With a passion for historic preservation, adaptive reuse, and retrofits, he will bolster Holmes' existing building portfolio. Bech, principal and technical director, is relocating to Seattle following 17+ years with Holmes in San Francisco and New Zealand. With more than 20 years in the industry, his areas of expertise include existing buildings, non-linear analysis, performance-based engineering, and code writing. Bech leads design strategy on some of Holmes' most complex projects.

ALSC Architects of Spokane has promoted Kim Phelps to principal and Sheila Boyce to associate principal. Serving as ALSC's director of technical design, Phelps consistently provides leadership and serves as a mentor to her teammates, collaborates with general contractors, and crafts beautiful architecture for clients. She earned her Bachelor of Architecture from the University of Idaho and is a member of AIA Spokane. She is also a graduate of Leadership Spokane's Class of 2021.

Boyce is an experienced interior designer with a focus on serving ALSC's health care clients. She brings comprehensive experience in medical and dental project planning and design. Boyce is committed to using a collaborative approach to create cost effective creative design solutions. Her educational background includes California Polytechnic University (Architectural Studies) and an Associate Arts Degree (Interior Design) from the Art Institute of Seattle. She is ASHE Certified.

Erin Spaulding has been promoted to communications manager in the Seattle office. Since joining the firm, Spaulding has established her role as a corporate brand strategist and storyteller, contributing various copy, video content, social media posts, and photography for multiple marketing campaigns, plus digital and print material. Her accomplishments include staff highlight videos for the “DCI is ME” Instagram account, The Grand promotion video, the corporate sustainability brochure, and numerous internal communication platforms. She has published articles in Modern Steel Construction and STRUCTURE magazines. She is a member of the Society for Marketing Professional Services, Washington chapter and a FAA-certified drone pilot.

Herrera welcomed its first outside member to its board, Amy Marasco. With over 30 years of experience in environmental policy and management, Marasco is a nationally recognized expert, working with clients on effective strategic planning, marketing, communications, and organizational re-designs. She coaches public, private, and nonprofit sector executives in developing business and communication strategies, M&A, and organizational and cultural transformations.

Marasco is currently the president of ReThinkIt Associates, a small, women-owned management consulting firm specializing in strategic planning, communications, and organizational effectiveness. She is also known for her work mentoring small businesses and MWBE firms. Marasco co-founded and acted as CEO of a 350-person IT and environmental management company. In this role, she managed multi-million-dollar U.S. federal government contracts with the Environmental Protection Agency and the Departments of Transportation, Energy, Defense, Agriculture, and Interior. She has also spearheaded high profile acquisitions, successfully negotiating the sale of a $50 million firm to a Fortune 100 company. In addition to her experience as a management and organizational consultant, Marasco is the founder of The Nature Generation, an environmental nonprofit organization committed to educating youth on environmental stewardship. She also served as the vice mayor of the Town of Hillsboro, Virginia, where she focused on award-winning infrastructure projects including pedestrian safety and transportation, drinking water, stormwater and wastewater initiatives.

Herrera also welcomed Lisa Moore to the team as human resources director based out of the firm's Seattle office. Moore brings 15 years of HR experience, working with organizations in the US and internationally to execute business strategies and address individual needs. Throughout her career, Moore has worked within several industries including A/E/C, finance, government relations, and technology. She brings a vast knowledge of human resources best practices including compensation and benefits, recruitment, onboarding, and employee relations.

Dolan

KPG Psomas' Seattle office welcomed Sean Dolan as a transportation planner, and their Tacoma office promoted Jake Williams and Drew Halverson to management positions. Dolan earned a Master's Degree in Transportation Planning and is a member of the Seattle chapter of Young Professionals in Transportation. He is passionate about expanding community access to safe and efficient mobility options and working on projects under the Safe Routes to School Program; currently he is supporting the City of Fife with grant writing efforts.

Williams advanced from project manager to construction services department manager. In addition to his Bachelor's Degree in Construction Management from Washington State University, he brings over 13 years of experience in the construction industry. He is currently managing a roadway improvement project, Prune Alley Street on Orcas Island.

Halverson was promoted to marketing department manager after two years with KPG Psomas as a Sr. marketing specialist. He earned a Bachelor's Degree in Advertising from Marquette University in Wisconsin and, alongside 20 years of professional graphic design experience, he brings a skillset for photography and videography.

Tacoma-based Pacific Civil & Infrastructure promoted Justin Sartell to vice president/senior project manager. Sartell has over 18 years in the civil construction industry, with experience ranging from highway and airport runway expansions, to major underground utility installations, to water and wastewater pumping stations. While continuing in his project management capacity, Sartell has additional leadership responsibilities, including planning PCI’s continued growth.

Bonneville Seattle announced the new “Bump & Stacy” show, weekdays from 10:00 a.m. – 2:00 p.m. on Seattle Sports. Michael Bumpus was a wide receiver at Washington State University before going on to a pro career with the Seattle Seahawks and BC Lions. Bumpus spent 5 years as the head football coach at Monroe high School, and now serves as the host of the Seahawks pregame, postgame and halftime shows and as a television analyst for the PAC12 Network. Stacy Rost is a native of SeaTac, Washington and a University of Washington graduate. She began her media career in 2014 and joined Seattle Sports as a staff writer and Seahawks Insider in 2017. She has spent the past three years as a talk show host with Seattle Sports and producing daily Seahawks Insider reports. Seattle Sports serves as the radio flagship station of the Seattle Mariners and Seattle Seahawks. In addition, Seattle Sports programming can be heard in Spokane, Tri Cities, and Yakima, Moses Lake and Wenatchee as part of the Seattle Sports Radio Network. Founded in 1964, Bonneville currently operates radio and TV stations, local websites, podcasts and other digital distribution assets in six western U.S. markets. Headquartered in Salt Lake City, Bonneville is a subsidiary of Deseret Management Corporation, a for-profit arm of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.

Portland-based Eclypsium, an enterprise firmware security company, announced five new appointments to its executive team with hires across research, sales and marketing. The company was also recently named a Global Infosec winner for the “Best Solution in Firmware,” by Cyber Defense Magazine. The new hires are: Richard Wajsgras, president of federal sales and global channels & alliances; Ariella Robison, vice president of marketing; Nate Warfield, director of threat research and intelligence; Mark Finke, director of North America sales; and Paul Asadoorian, firmware security evangelist. Eclypsium also announced the addition of Ramy Houssaini to its Strategic Advisory Board. He brings more than two decades of global executive experience in building and leading business technology, cybersecurity, privacy and data management programs. Houssaini was the first global chief cyber and technology risk officer for BNP Paribas where he is currently serving as the group privacy officer.

City of Puyallup

The city of Puyallup will kick off its summer Concerts in the Park series on June 25th at Bradley Lake Park located at 531 31st Ave S, Puyallup. The event will feature three bands, starting at 1 pm. See puyallupparksandrec.com for complete concert schedule. Concerts are subject to cancellation due to weather. Movies in the Park will be presented at Bradley Lake Park at dusk on July 15th, July 29, August 12th and August 26th. The movies are free and no tickets are required.
