SEATTLE — An entity related to Shea Properties bought land in South Lake Union for a 282-unit apartment complex.
Shea Properties paid $12 million, or about $310 per square foot, for about .9 acres at 1319 Dexter Ave. N.
Property records show Shea Properties has yet to buy an adjacent parcel that will be part of the full-block project.
Ankrom Moisan Architects is the architect, and Exxel Pacific is listed in permit records as the general contractor.
Shea Properties is based in Aliso Viejo, California. The development company is a subsidiary of J.F. Shea Co., which describes itself as the nation's largest privately held builder.
