SEATTLE — The Pioneer Square Preservation Board will be briefed on plans today for a 12-story mixed-use building at 123 Third Ave. S.
The site is on the northwest corner of Third Avenue South and South Washington Street. A five-story office building built in 1971 would be demolished.
The developers of the new building are John and Shari Behnke, known locally for their philanthropy and art collecting.
Olson Kundig is the architect.
Early plans call for around 82 residential units, 7,100 square feet of retail or gallery space, and 12,800 square feet of office.
Today's meeting is planned for 9 a.m. at Seattle City Hall, Room L280.
