Antioch University completed the sale of its Seattle campus and has found a new home in a Martin Selig Real Estate project.

Antioch sold its campus at 2326 Sixth Ave. to Ed Hewson and Jon Breiner's HB Management for $26.5 million, property records show.

Antioch will move to a three-story, 68,429-square-foot project at Third Avenue and Battery Street that is under construction, Martin Selig said. Construction began in July, and the building is expected to open December 2016, Selig said.

Perkins + Will is designing Selig's project, Lease Crutcher Lewis is the general contractor and KPFF Consulting Engineers is the structural engineer.

Selig said Gensler will design Antioch's new 38,000-square-foot space, and Robinson Co. will build it out. Heartland LLC helped Antioch sell its current campus and find a new one.

In addition to the Antioch site, HB purchased an adjacent parcel for $3.9 million, giving it full possession of the half block. HB paid approximately $781 per square foot for the half block.

HB is planning a pair of 42-story apartment towers on the site. A press release announcing the sale of the half block says the project will have approximately 850 to 950 apartments with ground floor retail space.

Hewson said in a statement that the site is within part of HB's favorite parts of downtown: North Belltown and the Denny Triangle. Since 2008, the firm has developed or contributed to the development 740 apartments in Belltown and the Denny Triangle.

Via Architecture and Communita Atelier are listed on documents related to the HB project.
