Spokane investing in historic buildings

SPOKANE (AP) — Spending on historic preservation in Spokane is on the rise.

The Spokesman-Review reports (http://is.gd/nop8ZT ) the owners of 23 projects are seeking $39 million in property tax exemptions this year, a new record for Spokane. A dozen of the projects are downtown, and most of those involve multi million-dollar investments.
