BEND, Ore. (AP) — More landlords and property owners in Bend are participating in what housing advocates call “fee stacking,” the process of collecting application fees from prospective renters even after a preferred tenant has been chosen.
The Bend Bulletin reports (http://bit.ly/1OejaMP ) that a review of local houses and apartments for rent suggests that most require an application fee between $35 and $45 for every adult household member.
