A midblock parcel at 1446 N.W. 53rd St. in Ballard is on the market, and developer Preston Walls has filed an early plan to redevelop it with 60 small efficiency dwelling units.
The 5,000-square-foot property has long been owned by a family. It has been used as a gym for the past 20 years, and is just east of the Subway parking lot on 15th Avenue Northwest.
