OLYMPIA — The Washington State Department of Commerce announced $22.9 million in grants and loans for nine low-income housing projects around the state.
The funds will help provide an estimated 301 rental units/beds and 80 seasonal farmworker beds.
Seattle-area awards include $3 million to Transitional Resources for a 44-unit project in West Seattle, and $3 million to Mercy Housing Northwest for 69 units of senior housing in Tacoma.
Parkview Services will receive $1.06 million to help acquire and rehab six homes in Snohomish County.
