Old banks get fresh interest on The Ave

The two-story building was built in 1912.

Seattle City Council has again delayed an upzone of The Ave, aka University Way Northeast, where new construction is currently capped at 65 feet. That's much lower than the rest of the University District, which was upzoned two years ago to allow building heights up to 320 feet in some areas. Light rail will arrive at U District Station in 2021.
