I can remember buying stamps there, back when people still bought stamps. At the time, above the post office, Schneider Electric was leasing the upper two floors in the small, squat, red-brick building at 95 S. Jackson St., once known as the Schwabacher Warehouse Annex, where hardware was sold during the Gold Rush era.
Today owner Hudson Pacific Properties has totally gut-renovated what it now calls 95 Jackson, and it has leased the whole three-story 1909 building to co-work firm Spaces. (Spaces is the flex- and short-term office arm of IWG, aka International Workplace Group, formerly Regus.) Spaces has about 32,000 square feet, and expects to open the building to sub-tenants this month.
