On the Block: Expensive lessons on the Pike-Pine Corridor

Pike Flats, at 722 E. Pike St., opened to renters in December. The 90-unit, seven-story building on the corner of Harvard Avenue was designed by Skidmore Janette, built by W.G. Clark Construction, and developed by Johnson & Carr.

Kelten Johnson and Tyler Carr recently walked me through Pike Flats, which is on the southeast corner of the block, inset within its larger neighbor, Pike Motorworks. (Some may recall 95 Slide and Pho Le's on that same corner.) The project started construction about the same time that Wolff Co.'s Pike Motorworks was finishing, circa 2016.
