The building could have up to nine stories. It’s shown here with a carved-wood welcome figure in front by Puyallup tribal artist Shaun Peterson.

As the DJC first reported early last year, Chief Seattle Club plans to create a new affordable housing complex at 108 Second Ave. S. Extension in Pioneer Square. The plan, with new architect Jones & Jones now replacing Weinstein AU, is for an eight- or nine-story building with about 77 units, no parking, and 16,500 square feet of administrative and/or support services. The site is zoned for construction up to 120 feet.
