Urban Visions may build apartments on vacant Pioneer Square site

  • The site's previous building, a one-time punk rock venue, was demolished after being damaged by the 2001 Nisqually earthquake.

    The seven-story building would sit between McCoy’s Firehouse, on the left, and Urban Visions’ eight-story 200 Occidental building.

    Urban Visions, through an LLC, paid $750,000 in 2007 for two small vacant parcels at 165-169 S. Washington St. in Pioneer Square. That was about five years before the company acquired the half block to the west, which it later developed as 200 Occidental, the new headquarters for Weyerhaeuser.
