Capitol Hill building design harks back to old Auto Row

The five-story project would have 68 apartments, street-level retail and underground parking. It would replace the Hilltop Service Station on 15th Avenue East.

Hunters Capital paid $2.75 million through an LLC last December for the Hilltop Service Station site, on the corner at 523 15th Ave. E. The property was recently upzoned to 55 feet. Now there's a redevelopment plan by Studio Meng Strazzara for a five-story, 68-unit apartment building.
