Seattle nonprofit Plymouth Housing said Tuesday it raised $48.8 million to help it construct eight buildings with around 800 apartments total for chronically homeless single adults in King County, much of it from foundations and corporations, including Microsoft and Amazon.com.
Plymouth's PROOF campaign will raise an additional $26.2 million of its $75 million goal through donations, said CEO Paul Lambros. The donations will also help establish an endowment for additional support services for Plymouth residents and help update and maintain its historic downtown Seattle properties: the Lewiston, Pacific, Saint Charles, Scargo and Plymouth on Stewart.
