OLYMPIA — The number of homeless people in Washington was 21,621 in the 2019 one-night Point-in-Time count, which is 683, or 3.1%, fewer than in last year's count, the State Department of Commerce said in a press release.
The Point-in-Time count is based on a count of homeless people on one given night in all counties in the state, typically in January.
