Fremont Crossing breaks ground — in Queen Anne

    The project preserves the century-old Bleitz building, which will connect with a new four-story addition to the west.

    The new owners of the landmarked former Bleitz Funeral Home, at 316 Florentia St. at the south end of the Fremont Bridge, have broken ground on Fremont Crossing. That office addition project got its name during the development process under prior owners Bill Pollard and Doug Waddell.
