Portage Bay boatyard's new owner wants to redevelop it into a foodie and ferry destination

    The old Jensen Motor Boat Co. facility has “good bones,” says owner Mark Grey. He plans to renovate the buildings.

    After almost a century of family ownership, the Jensen Motor Boat Co. facility, at 1417 N.E. Boat St., has sold for $6.2 million, according to King County records. The seller was the Jensen family, which had owned the property since 1927.
