The city of Seattle awarded $5 million to 10 community groups to help retain residents and businesses in high displacement risk neighborhoods. The money comes from the city's Equitable Development Initiative.
“Seattle's challenges of affordability have displaced far too many residents and businesses,” said Mayor Jenny Durkan in a news release. “Our vision is of a city where all communities can build a home for themselves and their loved ones.”
