CHH revises plans for LGBTQ housing following upzone

An eight-story, 114-unit building is proposed for the portion of the site north of the existing apartments.

Capitol Hill Housing acquired the Helen V apartments, at 1321 E Union St., for about $2.6 million in 2001. The century-old three-story building has 38 units for low- and modest-income residents. It also has a parking lot on the corner of Union and 14th Avenue, north of the Helen V, which is actually set farther south down 14th — despite the address.
