New buyers step up in effort to save Showbox

The saga of the endangered but temporarily protected Showbox, at 1426 First Ave., has taken another turn. As expected, Historic Seattle has made an offer on the music club, now with the nonprofit Seattle Theatre Group as its partner. The two announced their bid, but not the amount, late Tuesday.
