Redevelopment sought for Squire Park block

  • Shelter Holdings plans a four-story apartment building to replace a nursing home it acquired for $11 million.

    The Keiro Northwest nursing facility at 1601 E. Yesler Way in Seattle's Squire Park neighborhood has sold for $11 million, according to King County records.

    The seller was the nonprofit Keiro (previously Nikkei Concerns), which had owned the property for decades. It's presently used for a nursing home and child care center, which will be demolished.
