Apartments planned for Pioneer Square site

    This Pioneer Square eyesore may finally meet the wrecking ball. The new apartments would also house ILWU and Filipino historic artifacts.

    Since paying $600,000 in 2000 for the long-vacant and collapsing old building at 213 S. Main St. in Pioneer Square, investor/developer Ron Amundson has floated two plans to redevelop with apartments, both with Hewitt as his architect.
