Historic Tacoma office tower sells to Portland investor

    The Commerce Building in the 1940s. The 12-story tower was developed by W.R. Rust in 1920 for $350,000.

    A century-old downtown Tacoma office building, at 950 Pacific Ave., has sold for $12.5 million. Pierce County recorded the sale before Christmas.
