SEATTLE — The Seattle Department of Transportation is installing temporary priority loading zones in the city to make it easier for customers to get purchases now that the state allows retail stores to open for curbside pickup, Mayor Jenny Durkan said in a press release.
Installation will start today on the zones, which will be marked by easels with a 15-minute load sign and blue curbside pickup priority sign attached.
More information is at sdotblog.seattle.gov. To request a zone, contact SDOT at (206) 684-ROAD or 684-ROAD@seattle.gov and provide the business name, address and contact information.
The mayor's office said the program builds off the success of the city's food priority pickup program.
