SEATTLE — A Ballard corner development site at 6701 15th Ave. N.W. sold two years ago for nearly $3 million. Now a new six-story, 80-unit apartment plan dubbed Kandila has emerged.
LDG Architects submitted the proposal, which hasn't yet entered design review.
The project would replace an auto shop and Scandinavian Specialties, a popular bakery.
For now, no commercial space is indicated for the 64,140-square-foot project, though some is likely on 15th. Live/work units are also possible. One level of underground parking with 47 stalls would be accessed from Northwest 67th Street. About 100 bike stalls are also planned.
The ownership LLC is associated with the Pental family (of Pental Surfaces, formerly Pental Granite & Marble). The corner has about 17,104 square feet.
