SEATTLE — The longtime owners of a full block at 2203 23rd Ave. S. seemed until last summer to be nearing city approval for a 272-unit midrise apartment plan. Colliers and Cushman & Wakefield were then offering it for sale, with the master use permit said to be pending. It never came, and no buyer has emerged.
Instead of the old apartment plan by Caron Architecture, there's a new five-story school plan recently filed by Mahlum Architects on behalf of a new prospective buyer. That would be the French American School of Puget Sound, which is now based on Mercer Island.
