Shanty site to host food trucks

SEATTLE — In a little-noticed sale last year, the vacant former Shanty triangle sold to a local food entrepreneur. That longtime Lower Queen Anne restaurant, at 350 Elliott Ave. W., closed in 2016, then sold to a Los Angeles food operator. It never reopened.

Bad luck with a contractor, squatters, fire and the pandemic put the property on the market two years ago. Nick Ramirez of Kidder Mathews brokered last year's deal. The price was painful: half what the Los Angeles owner had paid five years prior.
