From Fat City to Flat City

SEATTLE — Da Li Properties told the DJC last month that it had the former Fat City auto repair property under contract, planned to buy it next year — and would then redevelop. A new office or life-science plan was mentioned. No new building plans have been filed at 508 Denny Way, but Da Li just initiated a demolition plan.

The 13,560-square-foot corner, at Fifth Avenue North, last traded in 2017 for $8.1 million to an LLC with Chinese roots. An apartment plan by CollinsWoerman never got far in design review, and that project has been quiet for years. The corner is zoned up to 160 feet.
