SEATTLE — Local investors bought the Park Plaza Motel, at 4401 Aurora Ave. N., four years back for nearly $2.2 million. The corner property has zoning that would allow a five-story apartment building.
Instead, Lien Nishiwaki Architects filed a plan last week to convert the 15 motel rooms to 18 SEDUs, or small efficiency dwelling units. Surface parking will drop from 13 to five stalls, and 18 bike stalls will be added.
