SEATTLE — A few steps south of Mount Baker Station, at 2815 S. Hanford St., is a two-story commercial building that appears bound for sale and redevelopment. The owner and Cone Architecture recently filed a seven-story, 50-unit apartment plan. That may be a prelude to selling, though the property isn't publicly listed.
The corner site, at Rainier Avenue South, has 5,400 square feet. The last market-price trade appears to have been for $875,000 in 2007. The building, eventually to be demolished, dates to 1966, and is now home to Uncle Lu restaurant and a bubble tea shop.
