Capitol Hill corner trades for $5M

Pictured circa 1978, the building was until recently home to the Canterbury pub, which opened there in 1976.

A small old apartment building at 1509 E. Mercer St. recently sold for $5 million, according to King County records. The seller was Community Roots Housing, which acquired the property in 1986, apparently as a gift.
