Affordable units to follow ID land sale

SEATTLE — As the DJC first reported last month, an affordable housing project is planned at 1001 S. Jackson St. That's in the east end of the International District, aka Little Saigon, east of the freeway. Now the land has sold to Friends of Little Saigon.

King County recorded the $6.4 million deal on Monday. The purchase was backed by an unspecified loan from the city of Seattle.
