32 Pinehurst units proposed

SEATTLE — A little east of the freeway, at 12520 Roosevelt Way N.E., the Roosevelt Park apartments dates to 1967. The 22-unit building last traded to local investors in 2009. Now, in a new plan filed by Ankrom Moisan Architects, it's about to lose most if not all of its 31 surface parking stalls.

Those will be replaced by a separate new three-story north addition, with 32 units and no additional parking. Total project size looks to be about 18,519 square feet. That's about the same size as the four-story south building, which has large units that average around 791 square feet. The new units will evidently be more compact. The new plan hasn't yet entered design review.
