Infill offices set for West Seattle

SEATTLE — Alki Lumber plans to redevelop most of two blocks it owns in West Seattle. About 506 apartments, plus commercial space, should result. Most permits are in place, with no announced start date.

But the Sweeney family also owns other properties nearby. One is a fairly tiny site, now with an old tear-down house, that could see a small new infill office building. The new five-story plan at 4501 35th Ave. S.W. comes from Northwest Studio. The sloping, 2,369-square-foot site is directly north of a separately owned apartment building, and south of a hill climb leading up to Southwest Oregon Street.
