Benchmark sets October opening date for Avenue Bellevue hotel

Work began on the first two towers of Avenue Bellevue in the fall of 2019. The large project, immediately north of Bellevue Square, includes condos, retail, restaurants and a hotel. JTM Construction is the builder, and Weber Thompson the architect.

Canadian-based Asian grocery to take over former Walmart space at Factoria mall

Asian grocery chain T&T Supermarkets is planning to open its first store in the U.S at the Marketplace at Factoria shopping mall next summer. The grocer is taking 76,000 square feet of space at the south end of the mall last occupied by a Walmart. Walmart closed up shop last spring.

Portland bans daytime camping

The ordinance also bans camping entirely near schools, parks and busy streets.
