Description
Grandview Middle School and Arthur H. Smith Elementary bid as one project. Work at the elementary school includes extensive site reconfiguration to ease circulation and separate bus, parent and staff parking areas. New square footage has been assigned, expanding the administration and media center, and creating more teaching areas. Testing rooms, additional restrooms, counseling rooms, computer labs and data/telecommunications support areas are also being added. At the middle school, the administration facilities are being expanded, and more square footage is being added to the multi-purpose rooms, media center, and teaching areas. At both schools there are upgrades in the mechanical, electrical, data communications, lighting and fire sprinkler systems.
