Description
The Federal Way School District commissioned Bassetti Architects to come up with a school design that would accommodate new education methodologies and technologies in the years ahead.

The new Federal Way High School will serve 1,300 students. The buildings will be arranged around a central courtyard that opens out to the playfields and Hylebos Creek beyond, in a design emphasizing discovery and diversity.

Within the school, non-load-bearing partitions are removable, allowing for a maximum flexibility in use of learning spaces. In addition, the facility uses adaptable mechanical, electrical and furnishing systems to ensure that it will be flexible enough to meet changing educational needs.
