Description
The embankment is being constructed to raise up the surface of the proposed $773 million third runway at Seattle-Tacoma International Airport. This project is the fourth phase of the embankment construction.

Major work includes clearing and grubbing of approximately 50 acres, construction of embankment totaling approximately 1.9 million cubic yards, and subgrade improvements.

Additional construction includes installation and maintenance of temporary erosion control measures, drainage features, large sedimentation ponds, state-of-the-art wheel wash systems, hydroseeding, and all necessary traffic control to complete the project.
