Description
Holly Park III, a project funded under the Hope VI federal program, replaces existing public housing built during the 1940s with a new, dense neighborhood consisting of mixed uses for residents of diverse incomes.

Phase III consists of the construction of about 219 rental housing units in a variety of building types and density; from rowhouses on the interior of the site to apartments-over-retail along the perimeter streets. This includes a four-story, 40,000-square-foot mixed-use building with a medical/dental clinic, commercial and office space on the first and second floors and 24 units of housing on the upper two floors, and one level of subsurface parking.

The master plan extends the existing street grid into the 36-acre site and is organized around a spine of new public parks, providing a pedestrian connection between residences and neighborhood shopping and transit. The project also includes construction of new public streets and utilities.
