Description
In March 2001, a school bond was approved to undertake major new school remodels and upgrades throughout the Kelso School District.
Like many educational institutions in recent years, the new high school was designed in a collaborative process involving students, parents, staff and representatives of the local community.
The resulting high school features comprehensive security upgrades and an emphasis on new technology.
Improvements also include four new classrooms, enlarged workrooms, enlarged auditorium support spaces, the addition of a choir, drama and lecture room, and three new classrooms for program use.
A new heating and ventilation system will be installed, as well as an expanded food service area. Fifteen new rooms will be constructed for use by ninth grade classes.
In addition, the running track will be resurfaced, and the school parking lot rebuilt and repaved.
