Type of contract:

Expected completion date:

Description

The C-1 baggage screening facility at Sea-Tac International Airport will add approximately 115,000 gross square feet to the airport terminal, and require the permanent relocation of airport tenant and Port of Seattle operations.

The relocation work includes remodeling existing vacated office areas on the ramp level of Concourses B, C and D; initial build-out of newly constructed areas in the Central Terminal area; and assistance in the physical relocation of the tenant/port operations to the remodeled facilities.

The project will require detailed phasing to maintain critical airport operations in and around the work areas.

Of particular note will be the maintenance of baggage tug access and cart staging areas in the North Bagwell Level and the maintenance of restaurant tenant operations at Concourse Level directly above areas of demolition, shoring and new construction work.

Limited construction site access, lay down areas and restricted construction periods are required to maintain safe and effective use of the existing baggage handling areas and port and tenant operations.
