Project description: Project includes three new elementary schools, all 47,000 square feet each. One will replace the Emerson School, one will replace Robert Frost and one school, Whittier, is on a new site. Each is a partial two-story, wood-frame structure with masonry veneer and a metal roof.
Address: Whittier is at Broadway and Wehe Avenue
Original contract amount: $13,323,100
Start of construction: May 1997
Expected completion date: July 1998
