Puyallup Wastewater Treatment Plant No. 6 improvements
Project description: Modify an existing 14 million-gallon-a-day wastewater treatment plant by changing the treatment process from a rotating biological contactor process to an aerobic-activated sludge process. Major design modifications provide for the construction of a complete new liquid stream facility, including new aeration basins, two secondary clarifier units and a new RAS/WAS pump station. Also, complete modification of the existing solids handling facilities, addition of a UV disinfection system and installation of new outfall diffusers.
