A special dryvit finish used on the main entrance and columns has a metallic look.

The expansion of the Delta Grand Okanagan Resort and Conference Centre makes it one of the most prestigious waterfront resorts in the Okanagan and a major tourist attraction throughout the Pacific Northwest.

The building’s front elevation includes custom shapes and a logo design cut into the exterior surface.

Kodiak Drywall used various exterior finishes that fall outside the normal textured acrylic finishes, including Dryvit Systems’ Reflectit finish which is designed to replicate smooth metal surfaces. Reflectit was used on the wall surfaces at the main entrance and on the concrete columns, giving the appearance of custom metal panels and metal column wraps.

The project was completed ahead of schedule and under budget.

Judge’s comment: “Although the variety of exterior finishes applied by the McKillop team are stunning, the use of the Dryvit Reflectit to replace metal panels is an impressive, cost-saving product that achieves an incredible metal panel like finish.”
