The retail section of The Bravern was designed to resemble a Tuscan village.

The Bravern is a 1.6 million-square-foot development with two residential towers containing 455 units. It has a number of award-winning restaurants, unique shops and boutiques, and is anchored by a Niemen Marcus department store.

The architecture at The Bravern is a classic European style. Although many of the shops enter onto a large open courtyard, there is a first- and second-level promenade that affords protection from the elements.

The promenade area gives shoppers the feeling of being in a Tuscan village, with stucco finishes by KHS&S done in a smooth, soft yellow patina.

Judge’s comment: “The color selection, attention to detail and stucco finishes performed by KHS&S help to soften the upscale shopping venue at The Bravern and give it that impressive, old world charm.”
