The Madison uses EIFS to achieve a classic look while saving energy.

The Madison is a 24-story high-end residential building in downtown Kelowna.

Architectural detailing is classically modern and the residences were designed with entertaining in mind. Floor plans are large, starting at 1,800 square feet and exceeding 3,000 square feet for the penthouse.

The exterior received a StoTherm exterior insulated finish system, which is a continuous system of exterior insulation that provides water management as well as energy efficiency. StoTherm EIFS was used to achieve the classic look, sculptured architectural elements and numerous sectional and elevation changes of the Madison’s exterior.

Judge’s comment: “A nicely designed, energy-efficient residential building. Using EIFS as the exterior cladding made a variety of design features available to the architect at a reasonable cost. The exterior balconies and wall shapes made for a challenging job that turned out very good.”
