The Holly Park public housing project was torn down and rebuilt with 454 new residential units.

The project involved demolition of public housing created in the 1940s as temporary housing for defense workers, installation of new utilities and infrastructure, and construction of 454 new residential units and a community center.

Absher-Pacific completed the job seven months ahead of schedule in spite of a two-month delay in the start of the project and the owner’s addition of more than $15 million to the overall project scope.

As part of the project’s requirements, 50 community residents were trained and employed on the site.
