Turner Construction Co.’s diversity program for the Seahawks Stadium was heralded by public agencies and has become a model for Woman/Minority Business Enterprise utilization and inclusion programs.

A total of 116 minority- and women-owned firms participated in the stadium project and 25 percent of the overall workforce was comprised of women and minorities.

Turner’s diversity development program includes: the Turner School of Construction Management, which educates M/WBE contractors in topics such as finance and management, marketing, estimating and scheduling; community outreach efforts for recruiting women and minorities; and creating appropriate contract packages to accommodate more M/WBE firms.
